Silene sartorii Boiss. & Heldr.
Silene conica: Erect annual, 10–25 cm tall, often single-stemmed, occasionally branched from base, eglandular-puberulent throughout and sometimes glandular in inflorescence. Cauline leaves broadly linear. Flowers few; bracts rather large, narrowly ovate, acuminate, ciliate; pedicels usually 5–10 mm, rather stout. Calyx 13–18 mm, cylindrical at anthesis, broadly ovoid and somewhat inflated in fruit, truncate at base, with c. 30 conspicuous parallel veins; indumentum variable but not including long, multicellular eglandular hairs. Petal claw not exserted; limb 4–6 mm, pink to magenta, with broad apical sinus. Capsule pyriform, included in calyx. Seeds 0.7–1.0 mm, grey, with low, obtuse dorsal tubercles.
Resembling S. conica, but differing in the following characters: Cauline leaves spathulate to linear; pedicels 10–20(–35) mm; calyx 10–13 mm, pyriform and not inflated in fruit, rounded and shallowly umbilicate at base; seeds almost smooth.
