Οφρύς καθρέπτης (Ophrys speculum Link)

Plant compact to rather slender, usually 10–30 cm tall, with 2–8(–15) flowers in a lax spike. Sepals 6–10 mm, broadly lanceolate, greenish, usually with brownish-purple streaks or suffusions, the lateral spreading, the middle curved over the column. Petals 3–5 mm, triangular-ovate, brownish-red, velvety. Labellum 11–16 mm, ± flat, not more than twice as long as wide, deeply 3-lobed, strongly shaggy with dense, long, reddish-brown hairs along margins; mirror covering almost the entire mid-lobe as one large, shining blue patch; apical point inconspicuous. Column rounded.
