Sulla spinosissima (L.) B.H. Choi & H. Ohashi συνώνυμο: Hedysarum spinosissimum L.
Annual, usually branched from base, with decumbent to ascending, appressed-pubescent stems 5–30 cm. Leaves imparipinnate; leaflets 4–9 pairs, 4–12 mm, oblong to narrowly obovate, subglabrous above, appressed-pubescent beneath. Peduncles c. twice as long as subtending leaf. Racemes few-flowered. Corolla 7–12 mm, pink, or wings and keel nearly white with pink tips. Legume compressed, with (1–)2–4 suborbicular segments, short-pubescent and densely covered with short uncinate spines both on margin and sides.
