Οικογένεια: Valerianaceae
Valerianella eriocarpa Desv.
Valerianella muricata: Erect, slender, with 1–3 dichotomies; branches rather widely spreading. Lower part of stem patently or retrorsely pilose, at least on angles. Basal leaves oblanceolate, the cauline linear-oblong, erect, all entire or shallowly and remotely dentate. Flowers in small, rather dense, flat-topped terminal cymes. Bracts lanceolate-oblong, with scarious margins. Fruiting pedicels slightly swollen and clavate. Fruit small (1.5–2 mm including persistent calyx), ovoid, pilose; persistent calyx unilateral, erect, almost as long as fruit, forming an ovate, reticulate-veined auricle or fan with entire or slightly dentate margins.
Resembling V. muricata, but persistent calyx forming a complete although asymmetrical tube, usually dentate on upper margin.
