Οικογένεια: Αγρωστίδες
Rostraria cristata (L.) Tzvelev
Annual, usually forming small tufts. Culms suberect, (5–)10–30 cm, smooth and glabrous. Leaf blade flat, usually 1–3 mm wide; ligule 1–2 mm, membranous. Panicle oblong, dense but sometimes lobed, generally 20–60 × 6–12 mm. Spikelets 3–5 mm (excl. awns), laterally compressed, rather lax, 3–6-flowered, pale greenish. Glumes subequal, slightly shorter than lemma, keeled. Lemma 3–4 mm, glabrous to pilose, tapering to a short subapical awn (0.5–1.5 mm). Anthers 0.2–0.6 mm, ovoid.
Τα spikelets (σταχύδια) "have more visible lemmas with short awns. The overall appearance of inflorescence is really like some Phalaris, but R. cristata is usually a small plant 10-30 cm, and Phalaris about 0,5 m" λέει ο Nejo.
