Erodium ciconium (L.) L'Hér.
Annual or biennial, 20–60 cm, single-stemmed or sparingly branched from base, with short, patent, glandular and eglandular hairs throughout. Basal and lower cauline leaves long-petiolate, usually pinnate with pinnatisect leaflets and intercalary lobes. Umbel 3–10-flowered. Sepals c. 10 mm at anthesis, oblong, cuspidate. Petals slightly exceeding sepals, purplish-blue. Mericarps with long, erecto-patent hairs and 2 glandular pits towards apex; beak 6–10 cm, with scattered long bristles.
