Muscari neglectum Ten.

Bulb 1.5–2 cm, ovoid, usually with offsets; tunics reddish-brown. Leaves 3–6, linear to linear-oblanceolate, ± equalling scape, canaliculate, dark green. Scape 10–20 cm. Raceme 15–30 mm, rather dense. Fertile flowers short-pedicellate, nodding, 4–7 mm, broadly ellipsoid, gradually contracted distally, without shoulders, dark blue; teeth short, recurved, whitish; orifice 1/3–1/2 as wide as diameter of perianth. Sterile flowers at top of raceme usually few, smaller and paler than the fertile ones. Capsule c. 8 × 7 mm. Seeds c. 1.5 mm, globose, black, with rough testa.
