Acinos arvensis (Lam.) Dandy

Ascending to erect annual or occasionally short-lived perennial, soft-pubescent throughout; stem solitary or moderately branched near base, usually 10–25 cm. Leaves short-petiolate; blade elliptical, at least 1 1/2 times as long as wide, acute, entire or usually somewhat serrate towards apex. Flowers in 3–8-flowered verticillasters, shorter than or equalling floral leaves. Calyx 5–7 mm, somewhat curved, gibbous towards base. Corolla 7–10 mm, purple.
