Alisma plantago-aquatica L.
Alisma lanceolatum: Rhizomatous perennial. Leaves in a basal rosette, longpetiolate; blade narrowly elliptical, more than 3.5 times as long as broad, tapering uniformly at both ends. Scape usually 40–80 cm; inflorescence large, lax, pyramidal, with primary branches in whorls. Petals 4–7 mm, acute, pale purplish-pink. Stigmatic region occupying more than 1/2 of style, with large papillae.
Differing from A. lanceolatum in the following characters: Blade of adult leaves ovate to broadly lanceolate, less than 3.5 times as long as broad, cordate to obtuse at base. Stigmatic region occupying less than 1/4 of style, with small papillae.
