Trigonella spicata Sm.
Decumbent to erect, glabrous to appressed-pubescent annual, 5–30 cm. Leaflets narrowly obovate to oblanceolate, serrate. Peduncles longer than subtending leaf. Flowers nodding, in a dense capitate raceme. Calyx c. 4 mm, with unequal teeth. Corolla 6–7 mm, bright yellow. Infructescence broadly ellipsoid to shortly cylindrical. Legume nodding; seed-bearing part narrowly ovoid, c. 7 × 4 mm, ± pilose, tapering to a distinct, strongly recurved beak. Seed(s) 1(–2), finely tuberculate.
