Galium melanantherum Boiss.

Galium amorginum: Rather robust perennial with a woody stock. Flowering stems ascending, 10–40 cm long and 1.5–3 mm in diam., distinctly quadrangular, glabrous. Leaves in whorls of 6–10, linear-oblanceolate, the middle generally 15–22 × c. 2 mm, rather thick, glabrous, often glaucous-pruinose, with revolute margins, subacute to shortly mucronate. Inflorescence rather dense, narrowly pyramidal, manyflowered. Corolla 4–5 mm in diam., cream to pale greenish-yellow; lobes shortly apiculate. Anthers yellow to dark brown.

Resembling G. amorginum, but more slender; leaves narrower, often deflexed, linear, shortly aristate; inflorescence very lax, with filiform peduncles and pedicels; anthers dark purple to almost black.
