Cerinthe retorta Sm.
Όρθιο μονοετές 20–50 εκ, γενικά μικρότερο και πιο λεπτεπίλεπτο απο την C. major. Basal leaves oblong-oblanceolate, obtuse, often white-spotted. Cauline leaves oblong, cordate-amplexicaul at base. Bracts large, ± purple (often strongly so). Corolla c. 13 × 3.5 mm, narrowly cylindrical, curved, bicoloured with various combinations of yellow and purple, somewhat constricted at apex; lobes very short, recurved. Anthers included. Nutlets c. 4 mm, broadly ovoid, greyish-brown.
