Amaranthus albus L.
Usually erect, 10–60 cm tall. Stem rigid, whitish-green. Flowers in small, axillary clusters shorter than leaves. Bracteoles twice as long as perianth, subulate, rigid, somewhat spinescent. Perianth segments 3. Fruit splitting transversely.
