Podospermum canum C.A.Mey. x Scorzonera cana (C.A.Mey.) O.Hoffm.

Perennial with a cylindrical, vertical rootstock; whole plant grey-tomentose to glabrescent and green. Stems several, suberect, 15–30(–45) cm, simple or sparingly branched, leafy in lower part; peduncles long. Leaves pinnatisect with remote, linear to elliptical lateral lobes and a long, linear terminal lobe. Involucre 12–20 mm at anthesis. Ligules 1.5–2 times as long as inner phyllaries, yellow above, reddish beneath. Achenes 6–10 mm, cylindrical, ribbed, glabrous, with a pale tubular base; pappus somewhat longer than achene, of plumose hairs, white or tawny brownish.
