Βρυωνία η κρητική (Bryonia cretica L.) 

Dioecious perennial herb with a large tuberous rootstock and slender annual stems trailing and climbing by means of coiled tendrils. Leaves opposite tendrils, petiolate; blade ± ovate in outline, usually deeply 3–5-lobed with obtuse to acute, subentire or coarsely dentate lobes. Flowers in small racemes or clusters. Corolla deeply 5-lobed, greenish-yellow. Stigmas papillose-hairy. Fruit a globose berry 6–10 mm in diam., white-spotted when immature, finally dark red.
