Phelipanche mutelii (F.W. Schultz) Pomel
Οι κυριότερες διαφορές μεταξύ των γενών Orobanche και Phelipanche είναι:
Orobanche: Stem simple; bracteoles lacking; calyx consisting of 2 entire or bifid segments; filaments inserted near base of corolla tube; stigma variously coloured, usually purplish, rarely white; style persistent.
Phelipanche: Stem often branched in lower part; flower with two lateral bracteoles; calyx cylindrical or campanulate, 4- or 5-toothed; filaments inserted near middle of corolla tube; stigma white or cream; style caducous.
Stem 7–20 cm tall, slender, 1.5–3 mm thick at base, simple or often branched from near base. Leaves 6–8 mm, ovate-deltate, sometimes wider than stem. Inflorescence 2–5(–8) × 2–3.5 cm, dense or lax. Flowers erecto-patent. Calyx teeth triangular-lanceolate, equalling or slightly exceeding tube. Corolla 12–23 mm, bright or light blue to violet, rarely whitish. Upper lip bilobed. Lobes of lower lip ovate to broadly elliptical, rounded. Stamens inserted at constriction of corolla tube, glabrous or pilose at base. Anthers usually glabrous. Stigma white or yellowish, rarely pale bluish. Often parasitic on the introduced Oxalis pes-caprae, but also on a wide variety of other hosts (Asteriscus, Asyneuma, Crepis, Erodium, Geranium, Hedypnois, Helichrysum, Matthiola, Ononis, Plantago, Pseudorlaya, Salsola, Silene, Solanum, Sonchus, Torilis, Trifolium, Urospermum, etc.).
Ο Σταύρος επιμένει ότι είναι η Phelipanche nana (Reut.) Soják . Το VPG τα δίνει συνώνυμα. Περισσότερες πληροφορίες στα Χλωρίδα μας (εδώ με το παλιό της όνομα Orobanche ramosa), Φυτολόγιο, greekflora.gr, Flora of Greece.
