Mercurialis annua L.
Δίοικο, σχεδόν λείο μονοετές, 10–40 εκ ψηλό; stem branched, often from base. Leaves opposite, short-petiolate; blade ovate to elliptic-lanceolate, crenate-serrate, thin and light green. Male flowers in long-pedunculate, axillary spikes, inconspicuous, with 8–12 stamens. Female flowers axillary, subsessile. Fruit 2–3 × 3–4 mm, of 2 rounded cells, ± hispid. Seeds 1.5–2 mm, ovoid, grey, minutely rugulose.
