Scorzonera sublanata Lipsch.
Plant subscapigerous, 10–25 cm tall, with rootstock expanded into a subglobose or irregular tuber 1.5–4 cm in diam. Leaves linear or narrowly linear-lanceolate, flat or slightly undulate, lanate. Involucre 10–15 mm at anthesis. Ligules lemon yellow above, reddish beneath. Achenes c. 4 mm, lanate; pappus hairs much longer than achene, pale reddish-brown, plumose.
