Tripodion tetraphyllum (L.) Fourr. x Anthyllis tetraphylla L.
Procumbent, villous to hirsute annual. Leaves asymmetrical; rhachis rather flat and broad; leaflets (2–)4, the lateral very unequal, usually 1 on one side of rhachis and 2 on the other, terminal leaflet larger than lateral. Inflorescences subsessile, with 3–8 flowers subtended by an involucre. Calyx slightly inflated at anthesis, sericeous, pale green. Corolla usually 3-coloured: standard hairy on back, cream or pale yellow, wings yellow, keel white with red apex. Calyx much inflated and bladder-like in fruit, wind-dispersed with included fruit. Fruit stipitate, constricted between the 2 seeds.
