Smyrnium creticum Mill.

Robust, glabrous biennial or short-lived perennial up to 120 cm tall. Basal leaves 3-ternate; ultimate segments oblong-cuneate to ovate-cordate, variously dentate or shallowly lobed. Upper leaves opposite, simple, sessile and ± amplexicaul, crenate-dentate, yellowish-green. Rays 10–20, subequal; bracts and bractlets lacking. Petals yellow. Fruit 3–3.5 mm, finally black; mericarps hemispherical, with inconspicuous ridges.
