Small annual, often single-stemmed, shortly retrorse-pubescent on stem. Leaves linear-lanceolate to linear. Inflorescence monochasial, often with 1 or 2 dichasial branchings at base; lower pedicels 10–20 mm, the upper much shorter. Calyx 6–9 mm, urceolate, retrorsely scabridulous; teeth triangular-acuminate. Anthophore 0.5–1.5 mm, pubescent. Petals rudimentary. Capsule 4–6 mm, subglobose. Seeds 0.9–1.2 mm, with winged shoulders.
