Sideritis montana L.
Annual or sometimes biennial. Stem simple or moderately branched from base, suberect, 10–40 cm tall, pilose. Cauline leaves oblanceolate. Inflorescence occupying most of stem, often with a coma of greenish-yellow sterile bracts at top; axis and lower part of calyx villous. Verticillasters several, 4–6-flowered, usually all distinctly separated. Floral leaves ± equalling calyx. Calyx tube straight; teeth subequal, slightly shorter than tube, narrowly ovate, aristate, often purplish. Corolla slightly longer than calyx; upper lip short, the lower obovate, shallowly 3-lobed, pale yellow turning brownish.
