Bunium ferulaceum Sm.
With a globose or somewhat irregular tuber, usually 1.5–2.5 cm in diam.; underground part of stem thin and flexuous. Stem 15–40 cm, sparingly and ± divaricately branched. Leaves 2-pinnate with linear segments. Umbels lax, with 7–15 spreading rays; rays and pedicels somewhat thickening and indurate in fruit. Bracts and bractlets several, small. Petals small, white. Fruit c. 5 mm, oblongcylindrical, with prominent ridges.
