Buglossoides arvensis (L.) I.M.Johnst. συνωνυμο: Lithospermum arvense L.

Μονοετές; βλαστοί (1·5-)5-50(-90) εκ., solitary to many, appressed-setulose-hispid. Lowest leaves oblong-spathulate or obovate, obtuse, the others oblong to linear, acute or subacute, usually erect. Cymes solitary or paired. Calyx-lobes linear or linear-lanceolate, unequal, acute. Corolla (4-)6-9 mm, white, purplish or blue. Stamens inserted below the middle of the corolla-tube. Annual, appressed-strigulose throughout, with a taproot and erect or occasionally procumbent stem(s) 10–35 cm. Leaves oblong-lanceolate. Inflorescence lax, terminal, with leaf-like bracts, much elongating in fruit. Pedicel and calyx scarcely swollen in fruit. Calyx teeth linearlanceolate, with stiff whitish hairs. Corolla with cylindrical tube and flat limb c. 4 mm in diam., without scales in throat. Nutlets hard and firmly attached, 3–4 mm, obliquely ovoid, without lateral swellings, rugose, pale brown; attachment scar 1–1.5 mm wide. (Περιγραφή απο Strid)
