Rumex pulcher L.

Perennial, usually single-stemmed, 20–60 cm tall, with stiff, ± divaricate branches. Blade of lower leaves usually 4–9 cm, ovate-oblong, often somewhat constricted at or below middle, subcordate at base, obtuse, flat or with slightly undulate margins. Inflorescence of several dense, remote whorls, with leaf-like bracts in lower part. Pedicels short, usually thickened. Fruiting valves 4.5–6 × 2.5–4.5 mm, of various shape, with a network of raised veins, all tuberculate.
