Annual 10–40 cm tall, sparsely glandular-pilose throughout and somewhat sticky; branches erecto-patent. Lower and upper leaves 1-foliolate, the middle 3-foliolate; leaflets rather large, broadly elliptical, serrate. Inflorescence rather dense; primary branches 5–10 mm, 1-flowered. Calyx teeth narrowly elliptic-lanceolate, 2–3 times as long as tube, 3–5-veined. Corolla c. 15 mm, somewhat longer than calyx, lemon yellow, fading ± orange. Legume ovoid to ellipsoid, compressed, with 2 or 3 smooth seeds c. 2.5 mm.
