Juncus maritimus Lam.
Resembling J. acutus and especially J. heldreichianus, but rhizomatous or laxly (rarely densely) caespitose; intravaginal shoots absent; inflorescence lax, brownish-green; first bract usually exceeding inflorescence, somewhat pungent; perianth segments unequal, the inner without apical auricles; anthers twice as long as filament; capsule 2.5–3.5 mm, equalling or slightly exceeding perianth.
