Andrachne telephioides L.
Small, glabrous perennial with woody taproot. Stems slender, simple or sparingly branched, 5–25 cm, procumbent to ascending, ± woody in lower part. Leaves alternate, short-petiolate, with small scarious stipules; blade c. 5 mm, broadly elliptical, entire, acute, glaucous. Flowers solitary in leaf axils, unisexual, inconspicuous, pedicellate. Capsule c. 2 × 3 mm, depressed-globose, 6-seeded. Seeds triquetrous with 2 flat and 1 rounded side, covered by small, rounded, whitish papillae.
