Lotus ornithopodioides L.
Annual, usually branched from base, with procumbent to suberect stems 10–30 cm, sparsely pilose throughout. Lower pair of leaflets broadly and obliquely ovate, the upper 3 obovate-cuneate, much larger. Peduncles straight, erecto-patent, 1–4 cm; umbel 3- or 4-flowered; bracts large, leaf-like. Calyx bilabiate, the lateral teeth much shorter than the others. Corolla 7–9 mm, pale yellow. Legumes all turning in the same direction, 30–45 × c. 2.5 mm, slightly curved, flattened, constricted between the seeds, glabrous.
