Cerastium comatum Desv.
Eglandular-pubescent annual 2–10(–15) cm tall, often much-branched and dense. Stem and branches straight, rather stiff, patent- to deflexed-pubescent. Leaves spathulate to elliptic. Inflorescence divaricately branched; bracts leaf-like. Sepals 4–7 mm, densely patent-pilose. Petals much shorter than sepals, white, shortly bifid. Capsule straight, narrowly cylindrical-conical, equalling sepals, dehiscing with an apical pore (teeth obsolete).
