Scrophularia heterophylla Willd.
Perennial, usually strongly woody and gnarled at base. Stems several, ascending, 10–25 cm long, simple or sparingly branched, brittle. Leaves ± pinnatisect with large terminal segment and subobtuse teeth, of rather thick texture, dark green or somewhat glaucous. Calyx 2–4 mm, with ovate lobes, glabrous. Corolla 5–9 mm; upper lip dark brownish-purple. Staminode reniform to orbicular. Capsule broadly ovoid, up to 2.5 times as long as calyx.
