Neatostema apulum (L.) I.M.Johnst.
Hispid-pubescent annual. Stem erect, 5–20 cm tall, unbranched or occasionally branched from base, rather rigid. Basal leaves in a rosette, persisting until anthesis, narrowly oblanceolate. Cauline leaves alternate, lanceolate. Inflorescence ± flat-topped, composed of a few bracteate, scorpioid cymes. Corolla yellow, with cylindrical tube and flat limb c. 3 mm in diam., hairy in throat. Stamens very short. Nutlets ovoid, shortly acuminate, pale brown, with irregular ridges.
