Cuscuta epithymum (L.) L.
Stem slender, usually reddish or purple. Glomerules 5–10 mm in diam., dense, globose. Flowers usually sessile, 5-merous, 3–4 mm. Calyx usually shorter than corolla tube, with triangular, acute lobes. Corolla with patent, triangular, acute lobes. Style and stigma together equalling or longer than ovary. Capsule c. 2 mm, subglobose.
