Helianthemum salicifolium (L.) Mill.
Annual, usually sparingly branched from base, with ascending, simple stems 5–15(–25) cm. Leaves oblong to narrowly obovate, ± flat. Flowers few, in a lax raceme. Bracts like leaves but much smaller, without stipules. Pedicels robust, spreading in fruit and curved upwards near tip, up to twice as long as calyx. Inner sepals usually 6–10 mm, ovate, acute, pilose. Petals somewhat shorter than sepals, pale yellow, caducous (usually dropping by mid-day). Capsule enclosed in calyx, glabrous.
