Glabrous annual, usually branched from base, with ascending stems 10–40 cm. Leaves 2- or 3-pinnatisect into linear segments. Capitula solitary on long, slender peduncles. Involucre c. 3 mm, broadly campanulate; phyllaries oblong-elliptical, obtuse, with pale scarious margins. Receptacle conical, without scales, obtuse. Ligules 4–8 mm, white, soon deflexed. Disc florets tubular, 5-lobed, yellow. Achenes c. 1 mm, brown, slightly curved, with pale ribs on the ventral face; pappus usually obsolete.
