Onosma frutescens Lam.
Subshrub forming large cushions, often pendent on rocks. Flowering stems herbaceous, 10–20 cm long. Leaves oblong-oblanceolate, green. Setae harsh, ± tubercle-based but not stellate, with uniform indumentum of short hairs in-between. Inflorescence dense, with nodding flowers. Calyx purplish, inflated in fruit. Corolla 17–22 mm, yellow, turning orange-red in apical third. Stamens somewhat exserted.
