Limonium narbonense Mill.
Glabrous perennial with a stout woody stock. Basal leaves large (generally 8–18 cm), suberect, oblanceolate to broadly spathulate, rather thick, with distinct midvein and many weak lateral veins. Stem 30–70 cm tall, repeatedly branched in upper part; sterile branches absent or few. Spikes numerous, usually 1–2 cm, dense. Calyx 4–5 mm, obconical; tube ± pilose; lobes short, triangular. Corolla 6–8 mm, bluish-violet.
