Φοινίκολο το κοινό (Foeniculum vulgare Mill.)
Erect, glabrous, glaucous perennial, 1–2 m tall, rather slender; whole plant strongly aromatic. Stem terete, striate. Leaves several times pinnate into filiform segments. Rays 7–15, slender, somewhat unequal. Bracts and bractlets lacking. Flowers deep yellow. Fruit c. 4 mm, broadly oblong, scarcely compressed, with low but prominent lateral and dorsal ridges.
