Ανεμώνη η σταφανωματική (Anemone coronaria L.)
Rhizome tuberous, woody. Blade of basal leaves somewhat shorter than petiole, broadly triangular in outline, with 3 much dissected primary segments. Flowering stems 1–3 from each tuber, erect, 8–20 cm at anthesis, elongating in fruit. Cauline leaves in a whorl of 3, 10–25 mm, sessile, deeply laciniate into narrow, toothed segments. Perianth segments usually 6, 20–45 mm, elliptical to narrowly obovate, very variable in colour but most commonly pale purplish-blue, occasionally whitish or bright red. Anthers dark purple. Fruiting head erect, ovoid to shortly cylindrical, very dense. Achenes numerous, lanate.
