Λίνο το διετές (Linum bienne Mill.) 

Glabrous annual or biennial. Stem slender, simple or often branched from base and sparingly so above, ascending to erect, 20–50 cm. Leaves linear-lanceolate, 8–15 × 1–2 mm, 1–3-veined, acuminate, smooth. Sepals 4–5.5 mm, elliptic-ovate, shortly acuminate, the inner with scarious margins. Petals 2–3 times as long as sepals, sky-blue. Stigmas linear. Homostylous. Capsule 4–6 mm, subglobose; beak c. 1 mm. Μάλλον ο άγριος πρόγονος του Linum usitatissimum, του καλλιεργούμενου Λιναριού.

Linum strictum L. (Άγριο λινάρι)

Linum strictum L.

Linum corymbulosum: Slender, erect annual 10–40 cm tall, branched above. Leaves 1–2 cm, linear, with rough, serrulate margins, often inrolled. Inflorescence lax, with long, very slender pedicels not overtopped by the adjacent leaves. Sepals 4–6 mm, ovate, acuminate, with sparsely glandular-stipitate margins. Petals 6–10 mm, free, yellow. Stigmas capitate. Capsule 2.5–3 mm.

Resembling L. corymbulosum, but shorter and more rigid; flowers sessile or subsessile, crowded on axillary branches, overtopped by adjacent leaves and forming a spike-like inflorescence; petals and capsule somewhat smaller.
