Glabrous annual, diffuse and decumbent to scandent, 20–100 cm. Ultimate leaf lobes narrowly obovate, acute. Racemes 4–10(–15)-flowered, shorter than peduncle. Bracts acuminate, 1/2–3/4 as long as the suberect, strongly thickened, obconical fruiting pedicels. Sepals small (1–2.5 × 0.5–1 mm), acute, dentate at base. Corolla 8–11 mm, white or pale pink; inner petals concolorous or tipped dark purple on the adaxial side only. Fruit globose, c. 3.5 mm, slightly keeled, coarsely tuberculate-rugose, with a large apical pit.

Glabrous annual, generally branched from base, 10–30 cm tall. Leaves mostly basal, several times pinnatisect; ultimate segments broadened into trifid apex. Inflorescence lax, erect, usually with 3–10 flowers. Sepals 2, entire or rarely bifid, caducous. Petals 4, deep yellow; the outer 8–11 mm, shallowly 3-lobed with flat lobes, the inner petals with black spots. Filaments of medium stamens narrowly triangular; pollen orange-yellow. Fruit erecto-patent, narrowly cylindrical, 50–80 × 2.5–4 mm, often curved, tapering at both ends, with conspicuous transverse articulations and a ridge at each septum.

Glabrous, glaucous annual, diffuse to erect, often muchbranched from base. Ultimate leaf lobes small, densely set, oblong. Racemes subsessile or short-pedunculate, 10–40-flowered, rather dense. Bracts half as long as to equalling the straight, patent, rigid fruiting pedicels. Sepals 2.5–3 × c. 1.5 mm, dentate. Corolla 7–9 mm, pink, with inner petals and wings of upper petal tipped dark purple. Fruit somewhat broader than long (c. 2.0 × 2.4 mm), rugulose with shallow apical pits, truncate or slightly emarginate at apex.

Μονοετές, λείο, σκορπισμένο ή αναρριχώμενο, 30–100(–200) εκ. Οι τελευταίοι λοβοί των φύλλων στενά αντωοειδείς. Ταξιανθία με 10–25-άνθη, ίση με τον ποδίσκο. Βράκτια μικρότερα ή ίσα με τους εμφανώς καμπυλωμένους ποδίσκους των καρπών. Σέπαλα 4–6 × 2.5–4 χιλ, σχεδόν ακέραια έως οδοντωτά, λεπτά μεμβρανώδη και λευκωπά. Στεφάνη 11–13 χιλ, άσπρη, σπανίως ξεπλυμένο κόκκινο ή ροζ μετά τη γονιμοποίηση; οι άκρες των μέσα πετάλων και τα φτερά του πάνω πετάλου με μια σκούρα μωβ κηλίδα. Καρπός 2–2.25 χιλ, σφαιρικός ή τετραγωνισμένος, obtuse or truncate, smooth.
