Cymbalaria longipes: Slender, delicate perennial with much branched, trailing stems and stolons, forming loose mats on rock faces; whole plant sparsely villous. Leaves long-petiolate; blade up to 10 × 15 mm, reniform to suborbicular, cordate at base, shallowly 3(–5)-lobed, thin. Pedicels filiform, elongating and ± recurved in fruit. Calyx very small (1–1.5 mm), deeply lobed. Corolla c. 12 mm (incl. short, conical spur); upper lip with 2 erect, broadly oblong lobes; lower lip broad, deeply divided into 3 ovate lobes; ground colour usually pale lilac, with violet streaks at base of upper lip and orange-yellow boss on lower lip. Capsule subglobose, pubescent. Seeds 1.0–1.3 mm, variously sculptured.
Resembling C. longipes, but more robust; spur about as long as calyx; capsule glabrous; seeds separate at maturity.
