Allium neapolitanum Cirillo
Bulb small, subglobose; outer tunics greyish-brown, ± coriaceous. Stem 20–45 cm, triquetrous at least above. Leaves usually 2, almost basal, broadly linear, 6–20 mm wide, thin, glabrous. Umbel fastigiate or hemispherical, lax; spathe 1-valved, short and thin. Pedicels filiform, longer than flowers. Perianth segments patent, 7–12 mm, obtuse, white. Stamens much shorter than perianth; anthers greenish-yellow. Somewhat similar to A. subhirsutum, but differing in the broad, glabrous leaves and triquetrous stem.
